Wednesday Writing Thoughts

I have printed out a prototype of a zine, but it was really much larger than I wanted. I decided to scale it back with fewer stories and add some pictures. I posted a picture of that on here.

Now I’m starting to think to myself if it is worth making them at all. I get in my head and realize that I don’t have many people that read or comment on my stories here. So, why would they actually pay a small amount for paper copy. Material cost money and they aren’t super cheap if you want to make them a better quality.

I do this a lot with my projects, especially if it is going to cost too much money. I suppose I might make some lower-end ones and just set them out at my wife’s stand at a craft fair sometime.

I hate that I’m like this…after all the talk and years I still don’t have confidence in things I do. These are the thoughts that go through my mind constantly.

  1. You enjoy writing, Chris. That makes you a writer. Please make your zines and share them. As the saying goes, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” Also, more people than you realize may be reading your stories. WP doesn’t track everything.

    1. I appreciate the kind and supportive words David.
