Not a whole lot of writing going on right now. I’m in Illinois with my wife to visit with her family. I will get back to more when I get back, but I am keeping up with my free writing. Maybe I’ll share some of that…it is part of the process after all and I have a pretty good idea on the burner right now for a flash fiction story.
Sometimes the best ideas come from others. They say something or do something that just brings an idea to the forefront. Those sometimes scare me the most especially when it isn’t supposed to be scary at all.
My imagination works like that. I like to take something so benign and flip the switch. Those are the best. I think that is the best thing about writing stories. Giving people the unexpected.
