Born To Write

I have adopted a method of writing where I write scenes in no particular order and have created a table of contents for each scene. The document is all over the place but it seems to be working for me. I even have some notes on the side to keep other ideas to help combine the scenes.

This is a new process for me. I typically try to write in one continuous stream of thought, meaning I try to write in chronological order. This hasn’t worked for me in the past so I’m trying this method. It also helps to just free write in my writing journal and add those to the document. I feel as though it is becoming a true rough draft.

For anyone else that writes do you use a method similar to this? What is your method? I’m curious because it feels as though I’m really putting my flash writing skills to another use here.

I’m having fun and enjoying the process so much more than I have in the past.
