Born To Write

Last night I finally got an app to track my books and be able to organize them so I don’t buy double or triple of what I already have, and you know what I found a book I had three of and 4 more that I have doubles of. I guess that a donation is in order to my local charity.

As I was going through my books I noticed that a majority of my books are by the Authors Dean Koontz and Stephen King. I have read a couple of series from each author as well as plenty of short stories by Stephen King…and knew I did I was younger as well. I realized these are the types of authors that shape my writing.

I love the weird and strange so when I find a book that offers a twist on the outcome I pounce on it. Especially if it involves a strange or odd psychological edge.

My reading list is full of horror/thrillers or crimes filled with an ending you don’t know is coming. I hope my flash fiction and short stories can create the same reading experience I’m looking for and surprise the shit out of you.
