Born To Write

In our history I don’t think there is a more interesting character than Benjamin Franklin. And he has a quote that expresses my idea of freedom. I big proponent of free speech and the fear of government squelching that in the name of safety and security.

In that tone here is my favorite quote along with a secondary quote:

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety” and “Freedom of speech is the great bulwark of liberty; they prosper and die together.”

Take from that what you will but I wholeheartedly believe that freedoms taken away from us for any reason is a dangerous proposition.
