Poetry Sunday-Surviving The Storm

Thunder claps in the distance but drawing near
Sirens whine inspiring fear
Take shelter to protect the ones you love
The danger swirls from far above
A rumble of a train coming down the tracks
Trees and buildings creating a terrifying crack
Only minutes seem to pass away
Then you can see the suns sweet rays
The storm clouds seem clear and pass
All you can see is debris and shattered glass
Now the work begins to rebuild
Pride of community and friends is once more filled
Survive this storm together now
You know you will some way some how
