The struggles this week are ones created by Mother Nature herself. we recently had some pretty bad weather on Monday that desolated a portion of a city not too far away from us and parts of the northern part where we live. This caused a power outage for two days, with power being restored at 9:30 past night.
Needless to say I didn’t have time or feel like doing much writing, but it did give me a few ideas for stories. There are always going to be things like this happening that will require you to take stock of life and prioritize.
In this case I chose to take care of my family and make sure everything was taken care of for them. I know I could grabbed my laptop and did some writing, but I knew I had bigger things to take care of.
I was grateful we were able to get a generator from my parents to power the freezer and refrigerator to keep food from spoiling. I was also thankful we had purchased a portable air conditioning unit to keep us cool.
Now that we have power and things are getting back to normal it is time for the writing to resume.
