Born To Write

Every Wednesday I plan to share a little bit about my writing and this week I wanted to share why I write.

Some of my pieces of flash fiction, which is what I usually write, sometimes seem a little uneven or fast-paced. This is because that is how my brain thinks. Most of the pieces, even the ones I share, are written all in one sitting. There is usually very little if any revision involved and it is truly free writing at the time.

I know I should probably clean things up a little. I do some proofreading and clean up some of the grammatical errors but otherwise it is raw writing.

My brain works like that and that is why I write. It is a kind of therapy to clear out all the words in my head. I write poetry, not very good mind you, but I do and that is just to clear my head. Believe me it is a mess up there sometimes.

So I’ll continue to share and really enjoy hearing comments about my writing and whether you like it or not. All comments are welcome as long as they are not rude…so I’ll keep cleaning my I head and I appreciate you reading my stories.
